Leo is a healthy five-year-old male Airedale who came into rescue because the family toddler grabbed him around the neck, which has always scared him. The child wasn’t hurt, but lots of tears and sobbing later, Leo finds himself in search of a new home. He lived with a female Airedale until last year (she was recently placed by ATRA) and an elderly small dog with whom he got along okay. He has good manners, walks well on a leash, and likes to ride in the car. Because of his past, we are looking for a family with tweens or teens at the youngest. Another accepting large dog might be a good fit, but he might not do well with an unfamiliar smaller dog. He is not a cat person.
