HI! My name is DAISY and am an “Almost” Airedale. My dad is a registered purebred Airedale and Mom’s heritage is mostly Airedale and with some bloodhound tossed in.
I am a young, sweet, loving girl, maybe only a year old and petite, weighing around 40 lbs. I am UTD on our shots, heartworm negative, and have had “the operation” so no pups for me.
I’ve had kind of a hard life so far, running loose up and down the roads of a Kentucky mountain where my “family” lived until a really nice lady rescued us. My sister and I were the last of our litter and our Mom is already going to have babies again, so no room for us. My sister has a new home, but the right one for me hasn’t come along yet.
I am learning the joys, comfort and safety of indoor living. I am very smart (the Airedale in me) and spent time with a trainer. I am already walking pretty well on a leash and learned basic commands, like I come to my name when I’m called and will sit for a treat. . I ride well in a car, crate trained and am fine with other dogs. I paid no mind to the cats at the shelter so maybe a dog savvy cat would be okay. There was a neighbor who had a donkey so when we were tired of running or cold, we would curl up in the straw by him.
My new forever home should have a fenced yard, as I was allowed to run free for a long time. I am now trained to my foster mom’s Invisible Fence…learned to respect my boundries quickly, (I told you I was smart)… but I’d rather be with my human(s) anyway.
Are you my forever home? IF SO, please contact Mary O’Connell, Email: email@example.com
PS…my favorite thing in the whole world is a belly rub…told you I was mostly Airedale!
