Lucy
Meet sweet Lucy. Don’t let her age fool you! She is a spry 9-year-old looking for a new home due to her Mom’s passing. Right now she is staying with three Golden Retrievers, one older and two younger ones that she is keeping up with. She is spayed, housebroken, and up to date on her vaccines. She is heart worm negative and is in good health. Lucy is used to the good life, living in the house and having a fenced yard. She gets along with large and small dogs, but is not a fan of cats. She rides well in the car and sits in the back seat. She’s not crazy about going to the vet, and is afraid of grooming tables, fireworks, and thunderstorms. She’s good for grooming if she can stay on the floor. She knows “sit” and “place” and loves her treats (takes them very politely too). She thinks she is a lap dog and loves to be in contact with folks around her. She hasn’t met a stranger yet, neither men nor women.
She does have two medical issues that require prescription drugs. She takes Proin twice a day for bladder leaks (with the Proin, those stay under control). She also developed focal seizures in February 2024 (looks up at the ceiling or fly biting) so she has been taking Keppra twice a day and has had no more seizures while on the meds. ATRA will help the adoptive family pay for those meds.
Lucy would love to find an adult family to cuddle with. Older kids would be fine but younger children might be a bit much for her. If you would like more information about Lucy, please contact Marsha Roush at the contact information above. We spent time with her today and she is truly a love bug!
