In case you haven’t heard there is a nationwide recall on a rabies vaccine from the manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim  It is a voluntary recall and the syringes were filled with sterilized water. They are not the only manufacturer that produces rabies vaccine. There are two ways you can find out if your pet or foster dog has a vaccine that is not valid.
Call your vet where the dog was vaccinated.  They will be able to tell you if your dog’s vaccination is part of the recall.
Review your dog’s rabies vaccination certificate.  The manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim should be listed and the serial number to look for is 18665.  If your dog’s vaccination has both of those on the cerificate then you need to call your vet.
