JENGA is a 4 year old neutered male who is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventatives. All good so far. He is young so reinforcements are always necessary but he does know and obey all of his basic commands. He walks well with a training collar and is good with the groomer, though he doesn’t really like his feet messed with. He is doing well with his foster brother even if he does want to share his brother's dinner. Not aggressive just standing on the sidelines in case brother leaves anything.
He feels very comfortable in the kitchen and loves to surf the counters! We are providing kitchen supervision to help him develop his culinary ground skills.
Jenga must have studied music in his former life because we have countless videos of him singing along to the music.
The most important thing we have learned about Jenga, is that he can love and he wants to be loved. He’s completely house broken and can be left alone. He loves the couch but we realize that you may not want him on your furniture so we have developed a system to keep him off. We were told that he hates the crate so we have started to crate train him and we have had no issues. We started with very short periods of time and are building him up. I don’t think he’s ready to stay there all day without “singing”.
Jenga is a big dog weighing in around 78 pounds. He is not fat and doesn’t need to lose any weight. He is young and excitable, so he is looking for aa family with no young children.
He needs an Airedale Experienced family. If he can be in charge he will.
All in all, he is a great dog. Chief complaint from foster family is that he is a barker. What Airedale isn’t. He and his brother would bark their heads off at the mailman and any squirrel that happens onto the property. Got to keep things safe.
