Meet Charlie, an adorable Airedale dude that is looking for his forever home.  He is almost 4 months old and is very sweet, loving, and very smart.  He would love an active family and a fenced yard for zoomies would be wonderful.

Here’s what his foster Mom has to say:  Charlie knows sit, down, off, and leave it (but needs a little more work).  He’ll walk on the lead and getting pretty good about being potty trained.  He is totally blind in his right eye and you need to watch when he comes up against a wall or furniture, etc.  If he’s standing there and swings his head, he will hit it.  Otherwise, he does very well and is coping with the blindness in that eye.  His left eye is fine.  He is all Airedale puppy, very energetic, loves to play, and is still learning “no bite”.  He is going to be a very good dog and he is SO handsome.
The blind eye is due to a trauma in his early puppy days that was not treated correctly.  It has been examined by an ophthalmologist and diagnosed as a Phthisti Bulbi.  Currently his eye is not causing any pain and we’re discussing whether to surgically remove the eye now or wait as his head continues to grow and see if removal is necessary.
