Isn't she just adorable looking!  She has an adorable personality as well.  I know what you are thinking.  "Oh I couldn't possibly adopt a senior dog as I would have to say goodbye too soon."  Well look at how Effy must feel.  She lived in the same home since she was a puppy and had a dog buddy too.  She was very confused when I picked her up.  She has had some time to decompress and I believe she is enjoying life.  She goes to doggie daycare a couple of times a week.   She is crate trained, has great house manners, loves her walks and is in pretty good health despite the fact she was behind on all her vaccinations.  Her owners surrendered her because they could not afford the time or resources to help her and they stated she was having seizures.  I have not seen any seizures since she has been here.  She tested positive for anaplasmosis (tic borne disease) which she is taking doxycycline to treat her.  She did not show any symptoms of the disease.  Effy deserves a home where she can be showered with love and comfort and appreciated for her sweet personality.  Look beyond her years and open up your heart.  Rescue is not about humans, it is all about helping the dogs no matter the age.
