Meet Rowdy, a large young gentleman that right now lives up to his name.  He was surrendered by a family that could not walk or exercise him and he spent 6-8 hours a day in a crate. He is a tall lean boy, about 80 lbs, but all muscle and handsome too.  He loves physical contact with his family and loves his toys, the noisier the better.  He is used to a fenced yard and is house broken.

Rowdy needs a home where he is the only dog, no cats or young children.  He is a very lovable guy and is good at his basic commands, but is also going to need an alpha family willing to continue with his extensive training.  He is with a terrific foster family right now that goes through a group of exercises every day guided by a local trainer.  He is slowly making progress but it will not be a quick fix.  He is very reactive to people at the door knocking or ringing the door bell and must be controlled for the first few minutes when anyone comes in.  He settles down fairly quickly and then is fine.  He walks well on a leash and is a friendly guy on his walks.  He likes to play but he can get over excited and react inappropriately by mouthing. Rowdy can be a really sweet boy once he settles in.
