Meet Teddy, a handsome, young, energetic boy that is as sweet as can be. He was surrendered from a family that had 5 children, another 13-year-old dog, and did not have Airedale experience. They did not have a fenced yard or area for him to run, so he did not get the exercise he needed. He had little or no training, and is currently with our trainer to learn his manners. He is learning not to jump on people and not to counter surf. He gets along great with kids, but due to his size and energy level, he would do better with older kids. He plays with the other dogs at the training/boarding facility, although he does try to mount the other dogs. He also played with smaller dogs in his previous home. He rides well in the car, eats anything, is crate-trained and mostly housebroken. The previous owner said he has had an occasional accident in the house, but was not on a regular schedule to go out. Teddy loves his walks and might pull/bark at another dog coming, but he just wants to play.
If you know Airedales and are willing to continue his training, he would be a great addition to your household. Please contact me if you are an approved home waiting for a new, young Airedale in your life.
