’m Teddy! I’m an approximately 12 year old Airedale mix. I’m a great boy in the right house! My mom rescued me from a shelter 7 years ago before she got married and had babies. She used to be able to run with me several days a week and I did great! I love walks but now I pull.
I am house trained and have never had a single accident inside! I really like a soft place to lay and will end up on the couch when you are not home. I am comfortable being kenneled when you are away.
I have never had an issue with other dogs, I have a dog sister I live with now and I don’t mind her. I have lived with cats and have no issue. I tend to let them be dominate. I’d possibly prefer a home where I can live out my days as the only love of your life, however, dogs and cats are better than kids!
I am a great boy! I just really need a home with no young children. Preferably no children at all. The addition of 3 kids under 3 to my previously quiet home has really upset me. Someone looking for a buddy to give 1:1 attention would be my dream come true. I am beyond sweet, love to cuddle, a good pet and a nice nap.
I get excited when the doorbell rings or someone opens the door. These behaviors would improve with more quality time and walks. I’ve gotten a bit obsessed with table food scraps as my house mates tend to drop a lot. This has me jumping up to get food. Another reason I am best suited in a house with adults.

Do you think you could give me a soft place to land for the rest of my years? My family is extremely sad to have to find me a new home but they want what is best for me.

Note from foster mom:  No known health issues. He used to be excellent on the leash, he pulls now but I bet a solid 2 weeks of good walks and he would be back to his old behavior. He does have access to a fenced yard currently. He rarely wants to be more than 5 foot from me, so he won’t spend much time out unless I am.  Here is a photo
