Meet Odie, a 4-year-old sweetheart looking for a new, forever home. There was a 2-year-old baby in his previous house and Odie wasn’t crazy about her, so they had to let him find another home. He is currently with our trainer learning some leash manners, although he knows sit, shake, down, and to come when he’s called. He’s housebroken and a real cuddle bug. He can get excited and jump up with new folks, but responds well to “off” or “down". He grew up with a Labradoodle, and also played well with a group of Dobermans while with the trainer. He would be great with older kids (12 years and up), but definitely no little ones. He should not be in a home with cats, and he chases small critters in the yard, so he would be OK with larger dogs sharing his home, but not the smaller guys. He would love to have a fenced yard for play, and he rides extremely well in the car. All the folks at his boarding/training facility have nothing but great things to say about him. He went through his vet exam (shots, fecal check, microchip insertion, neutering) like a champ. He was just neutered on September 17th. We have handled his ears, feet, tail, etc. with no problem. He definitely wants to please and gain your attention and love.
